History of "Tutors with Vision" at ACC

A partnership formed between Abel Villarreal and Sharon Duncan, director for the Teacher Certification Program. Incoming teacher certification participants worked directly with students who needed assistance in math. Additionally, students in ACC's Associates of Arts in Teaching degree began working with Mr. Villarreal. During 2007-2011, local AISD students worked with TVs and showed amazing improvements in math scores on the TAKS exam. During fall 2010, "Tutors with Vision" became a part of ACC's Student Success Initiative as a facilitator for EC-12 students.
