Are You Handy?

ACC has teamed with National Apartment Association Education Institute to create a building maintenance course that will qualify you to earn a Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT). The certification will demonstrate to employers that you possess the basic skills required for an entry-level maintenance position in the multi-family and apartment housing industry. Continuing Education has partnered with the Austin Apartment Association and Texas Apartment Association to customize this course to meet the needs of local employers.

Build your Skills

Our Building Maintenance course introduces you to the job of the maintenance technician as it relates to operational guidelines, customer service, and fair housing standards. You will study:

  • Interior and exterior maintenance
  • Electrical basics
  • HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
  • Plumbing
  • Appliances
  • Pool maintenance
