Course Description

This is a fast paced course that will expose experienced Linux/Unix technicians and administrators to the tools and strategy needed to prepare for and attempt the demanding and prestigious Red Hat Linux Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification. This course is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 (RHEL7). This course is a deep dive into the RHEL system that covers advanced system administration topics. RHEL7 has brought significant changes to essential parts of the Linux Operating System, and this course is in line with those developments. Additionally, the scope of the RHCE exam has changed as well. This class will take an in-depth look at these changes using the requirements of the exam as a list of learning objectives. The course is taught by lecture, demonstration, and direct hands on experience. A strong emphasis will be placed upon best practice system administration that will carry over to the everyday work environment as well as exam preparation.
