Course Description

This course is designed to familiarize students with specialty crops: their growth habits, cultivation requirements, environmental requirements, harvesting, post-harvest handling, and marketing. Emphasis is on small scale production of herbs, flowers, fruits, and vegetables that can fill niche markets and allow the grower to transition into agriculture.
