A study of the concepts and skills necessary for starting and operating a small business including planning, organizing, staffing, managing, financing, marketing, and accounting functions.
Study of current office procedures including telephone skills, time management, travel and meeting arrangements, mail processing, and other duties and responsibilities in an office environment. Required textbook (e-book) is available through Blackboard at acconline.austincc.edu.

Quality control principles and applications. Describe the benefits and applications of quality control; apply quality control tools and techniques; demonstrate planning and organization of quality control systems; and analyze the cost of poor quality in industry.
This class is a continuation of Guitar I. Topics will include: minor chords, strumming technique and basic music theory. This is a good opportunity to explore the guitar in a friendly, low stress environment. A guitar and pick are required; acoustic or classical guitars preferred but electric guitars are acceptable.
Fundamentals of mass production of apparel, focusing on the operation of industrial sewing and pressing equipment. Survey of materials selection and construction techniques used at all price levels of mass produced apparel. Introduction to industry seam allowances.
