Introduction to the creation and merchandising of fashion through the study of fashion vocabulary, the fashion process, fashion publications, and career opportunities. This is an online class. Introduction to the manual graphic techniques of Landscape Design. This is a hand drafting course. Drafting techniques and freehand sketching will be covered including plan, elevation/section, perspective drawing, scale, landscape symbols, and rendering techniques.
Integrated Pest Management Basics for Sustainable...
This course will discuss local agricultural pests and their impact on crops in Central Texas. Topics will include building and maintaining healthy soil, plant and insect biological cycles , identification and diagnosis of pest problems, and the selection, implementation and theory of integrated pest management.
*This class is taught asynchronously, which means there are no set meeting times and the students are able to complete the lessons and activities at their own pace through Blackboard. However, live sessions will be held as needed. The information will be posted to Blackboard Announcements.
Introduces Portuguese through rhythm of the language by exploring vocabulary and phonemic (sound) awareness. Students are invited to learn about some aspects of Brazilian culture, for instance, music, fashion, culinary and dance. Participants will be engaged in activities, such as skits and playing games that help develop basic conversation skills.

PowerPoint 2019 is not compatible with earlier Windows versions. Browser: the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge is also compatible. Microsoft PowerPoint, a subscription to Office 365, or Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019.
Instruction in the intermediate techniques and concepts associated with ballet. This is a ballet technique class. Prerequisites: BSKX-5041 or DANC-1241 or instructor approval.
