A course in the management of the pediatric patient experiencing difficulties in medical and/or trauma related emergencies. Meets the American Heart Association requirements for PALS provider course. It’s a must for new administrators and is recommended as preparation for the Salesforce Certified Administrator exam. The course is designed for new system administrator’s responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of their organization’s Salesforce applications and other groups that would benefit from deepening their knowledge of Salesforce, including power users, sales operations, and IT managers. Suggested prerequisite: ITSW 1005 Salesforce Fundamentals for Business Administration or both the Business Administration and Security Specialist Superbadges obtained via trailhead.salesforce.com.
Computer applications specific to business-related software. Emphasizes the concurrent development of office skills and computer knowledge. This skill development specifically includes MS Windows and Outlook. This course covers the required skill sets on the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) specialist-level exam for Outlook. Formerly known as POFI 1204 Computer Fundamentals: MS Windows/Outlook.

This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in sterile compounding related to pediatric preparations. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: pediatric calculations, pediatric LVP, EEC, and syringe preparations, other neonatal and/or pediatric CSPs. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based Activity. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course " PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience.
