In this workshop-style class for experienced musical theatre performers, participants receive individualized song coaching in a masterclass setting. Each performer comes to the intensive prepared with three contrasting audition cuts to perform and gains feedback from both peers and the instructor. Each participant will also receive two recommendations for additional material to add to their audition repertoire.
This class is an introduction to guitar fundamentals. Topics will include: major chords, strumming technique and basic music theory. This is a good opportunity to explore the guitar in a friendly, low stress environment. A guitar and pick are required; acoustic or classical guitars preferred but electric guitars are acceptable.
Floral Design IV: Business Principles and Sympathy
A comprehensive physical conditioning course, which includes calisthenics, plyometrics with medicine balls and strength and speed drills. This course provides job search preparation and strategies for students seeking employment in IT-related fields and industries. This free learning experience teaches specialized strategies to prepare job seekers for internships, apprenticeships, and entry-level or advanced technical positions. Students gain access to one-on-one job search support and will utilize leading-edge technologies including YouScience, Handshake, JobScan, BigInterview, and ChatGPT to create, optimize, and prepare materials for a successful job search.
Focuses on aspects of substance abuse prevention from a public health model. Topics include the history of prevention, risk and protective factors among youth, community-based prevention strategies, program design and evaluation, and resources for prevention planning. Integrated with credit DAAC-2306. Qualifies for student health insurance.
