This is an intermediate class focusing on acting for the camera. It is required that you have had at least a basic acting class before joining - such as Acting Fundamentals or equivalent. The emphasis is on camera technique as well as developing a naturalistic acting style through connection, honesty, vulnerability, and following intuitive impulses. The students’ work will be explored through exercises and scene study from film and television scripts. Some videotaping and playback will be used for critique.

This course prepares the teacher candidate to identify and use resources available for planning, and designing interactive TEKS-based lessons with an emphasis on specific content methodology. In addition, the course addresses assessment of the child’s learning and communicating of the child’s progress to parents. Each candidate will plan and teach three micro teaches which will be critiqued.

Interested in making a career change to Software Development The Austin Community College Software Development Bootcamp and is an excellent choice for building skills in the high demand areas of software development. The ACC bootcamp covers Full stack Javascript Software, Git, and many more technologies.
In order to get prepared for the Bootcamp, ACC is offering a Bootcamp Prep Course. In this prep course, you will work on essential computer and math skills. This 2 week long course will help navigate the rigor of the Bootcamp.
Bootcamp Prep Course includes:
-Familiarity with web technologies: HTML
-Simple programming concepts using online gaming environments like MIT Scratch
-Use of computer tools including: Linux Command Line, Git/Github, Visual Studio Code
-Familiarity with your computer's operating system, including Windows 10, Windows Subsystem Linux and Mac OSX
-Refresh of basic math and logic skills that would help you get ready for a career in technology
Instruction for all levels of skill in the fundamentals of basketball. Emphasis upon the development and improvement of total fitness, skill and general knowledge about basketball for leisure time use. This course is designed specifically for adults 18+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Students explore office procedures including appointment scheduling, records creation and maintenance, interpersonal communications, bookkeeping tasks, coding, billing, collecting, third party reimbursement, credit arrangements, and computer use in the office.
