Advanced WWW, HTML, and CSS

Third part of a three-part series, the course introduces HTML5 and CSS3 advanced features. Learn how to code more interactive Web pages using HTML5 APIs for canvas drawing, drag and drop and media display. Create advanced pages using CSS3 style sheets. Suggested prerequisite: Intermediate WWW Authoring, HTML, and CSS or equivalent experience.
A course in the management of the pediatric patient experiencing difficulties in medical and/or trauma related emergencies. Meets the American Heart Association requirements for PALS provider course. Participants who successfully complete the course receive an AHA PALS Provider card. Course materials will be mailed to registered participants a minimum of one week prior to course. Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class day. Lunch is not provided. Approved for 16 nursing and TDH-P contact hours. Prerequisite: Knowledge and skills associated with basic CPR. This is a 16 hour course consisting of an online introduction, classroom lecture, and range training. Skills covered will include: firearm and range safety protocols, pistol nomenclature, loading and unloading, grip, stance, trigger manipulation, and firearms storage and cleaning. By completion of the course students will have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of marksmanship and be able to safely and proficiently handle a pistol with confidence. No prerequisite required. Pistol and ammunition are provided. This class consists of 4 hours online training , 4 hours classroom and 8 hours of range.
An exploration and identification of maladaptive behavior including characteristics, classification, diagnosis, and treatment modalities. Topics include factors associated with defining and identifying abnormal behavior. Integrated with college credit SCWK 2331.

This course will focus on the use of the World Wide Web (WWW) and the creation of a home page. Web browsers, Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are discussed. Students get hands-on experience building simple web pages with hypertext links, graphics, and CSS. Includes an overview of techniques that enhance and facilitate page creation. Suggested prerequisites: familiarity with computers and browsing the internet.
