This course combines a two-day, live workshop, along with online activities designed to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in basic,
non-sterile, extemporaneous compounding procedures. Hands-on training includes: capsule preparation, ointments, creams, trochees,
suppositories, use of mortar and pestle, digital scale, graduated cylinders, hotplate, ointment mill, and other compounding equipment. The total
estimated time required to complete this course is 48 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from
2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE
statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 4.8 CEUs (48.0 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based activity. This is a non-sterile
compounding certification course. Prerequisites: Must be a certified (PTCB) Pharmacy Technician; or registered Pharmacist/ registered pharmacy
technician; or have completed an ASHP/ACPE Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program; or have a minimum of six month of
pharmacy experience. This course may be converted to college credit. Integrated with credit PHRA-2271.

The course emphasizes language concepts and best instructional practices for facilitating English language proficiency. Instructional techniques for both literacy and oral language development focus on social and academic language skills. Third part of a three-part series, the course introduces HTML5 and CSS3 advanced features. Learn how to code more interactive Web pages using HTML5 APIs for canvas drawing, drag and drop and media display. Create advanced pages using CSS3 style sheets. Suggested prerequisite: Intermediate WWW Authoring, HTML, and CSS or equivalent experience.
Continuation of Ophthalmic Techniques. Introduction to principles and techniques of various diagnostic evaluations. Topics include refractometry and retinoscopy, ophthalmic photography, applanation tonometry, and advanced clinical assessments. An overview of standardized tools prevalent in the field will be covered.
