An introduction to the accounting cycle in a computerized environment. QuickBooks course includes setting up a new company and chart of accounts; recording transactions with customers, vendors and employees; managing lists; generating and customizing reports; changing forms, and creating letters. Also includes budgeting, tracking Texas use tax, handling credit card income and expenses, exporting/importing files, working with payroll, and troubleshooting. Suggested prerequisites: familiarity with the PC, and ACNT 1002 Accounting course, or working knowledge of accounting.
This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in sterile compounding related to pediatric preparations. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: pediatric calculations, pediatric LVP, EEC, and syringe preparations, other neonatal and/or pediatric CSPs. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based Activity. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course " PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. This is a high beginning course designed to not only improve reading proficiency but also increase the appreciation of reading. It teaches language through reading and vocabulary. It is for students who need either to improve or review basic reading and vocabulary skills in English. Word attack skills, phonics, and syllabication are some of the skills that are introduced during the course. In addition, students will learn how to distinguish between a topic, main idea and supporting details as they expand their word recognition and active production of vocabulary. Skimming and scanning, pronoun reference, main ideas and their relationships to supporting ideas will be part of textual analysis. Students will also work with the content of reading passages through discussion and writing exercises that focus on meaning. The objective is to help students prepare for future academic coursework. The Civil 3D Fundamentals course is designed for Civil Engineers and Surveyors who want to take advantage of AutoCAD Civil 3D's interactive, dynamic design functionality. AutoCAD Civil 3D permits the rapid development of alternatives through its model-based design tools. You will learn techniques enabling you to organize project data, work with points, create and analyze surfaces, model road corridors, create parcel layouts, perform grading and volume calculation tasks, and lay out pipe networks. Duration: 32 hours. Prerequisites: Prior experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD-based products (such as Autodesk Land Desktop) is a prerequisite for this course.
