Instruction in terminology, program parameters, display characteristics, formatting features, mathematical functions, and printing. Using Microsoft Excel, create formulas and functions, gain skills to build, manage, save, retrieve, format, and print worksheets and charts. Prerequisites: Familiarity with PC.
Facilitating the use of public transportation enhances opportunities for independent living and competitive, community-based employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Learning to independently use public transportation increases access to autonomous activities, such as opportunities to work and to attend post-secondary education programs on large college campuses. Students will be taught to read Bus Maps/Routes, use GPS-based applications, and access public transportation (Bus, Light Rail, walking, etc.).
Instruction in dance performance through experiential projects at the freshman level. Students will rehearse and perform dance works choreographed by dance faculty and/or guest artists. An introduction to computer-aided drafting. Emphasis is placed on setup; creating and modifying geometry; storing and retrieving predefined shapes; placing, rotating, and scaling objects, adding text and dimensions, using layers, coordinate systems, and plot/print to scale.
Introduces Portuguese through rhythm of the language by exploring vocabulary and phonemic (sound) awareness. Students are invited to learn about some aspects of Brazilian culture, for instance, music, fashion, culinary and dance. Participants will be engaged in activities, such as skits and playing games that help develop basic conversation skills.

Advanced concepts in electronic spreadsheets. Topics address macro programming features, database functions, merging/linking spreadsheets, data file transfer, and Boolean functions. Also includes using templates, importing data, and designing macros. Suggested prerequisites: Excel Intermediate or equivalent experience.
Instruction for all levels of skill in the fundamentals of basketball. Emphasis upon the development and improvement of total fitness, skill and general knowledge about basketball for leisure time use.
