This course provides students with the technical skills required to write basic Transact-SQL queries for Microsoft SQL Server. This course is the foundation for all SQL Server-related disciplines; namely, Database Administration, Database Development, and Business Intelligence. This course helps people prepare for exam 70-761. Prerequisite: General computer knowledge.
This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in sterile compounding related to pediatric preparations. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: pediatric calculations, pediatric LVP, EEC, and syringe preparations, other neonatal and/or pediatric CSPs. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based Activity. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course " PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. Led by Rick Roemer, this 8-week course is designed for those who have taken Acting Fundamentals and Acting Explorations or equivalent training. Using scenes or monologues, the focus will be on strengthening text analysis and following inner impulses to create a powerful need to speak. The work in class will enliven the imagination and increase emotional availability and vulnerability of the actor. This class can be taken more than once, as it is different each time with new students and new scenes to explore. After expanding abilities in a playful environment, this class culminates in an event where scenes are performed for a small audience.
International purchasing or sourcing. Includes the advantages and the barriers of purchasing internationally, global sourcing, procurement technology, and purchasing processes. Emphasizes issues of contract administration, location, and evaluation of foreign suppliers, total cost approach, exchange fluctuations, customs procedures, and related topics. Integrated with credit IBUS-1341.
Introduction to word processing terminology, editing functions, formatting, and special text options. Create, edit, and print documents such as letters or reports using Microsoft Word. The course covers text, paragraph, and page formatting, spell checking, copying, pasting, and printing. Prerequisites: Familiarity with the PC.
