People gravitate to technology to solve problems. Python is a programming language that lets you work quickly to solve these problems. If you are interested in learning Python, this is the class for you. We will emphasize learning the basics of programming using Python, so you can leverage the reference book to solve real-world issues on your own upon course completion. Suggested prerequisite: General computing knowledge and a desire to learn programming with Python.
An introduction to Integrated Pest Management (IPM): Concepts, principles, development and application of IPM. Examine insect life cycles, entomology, and ecological interactions of insects and plants. IPM constitutes a series of pest control tactics and strategies toward more sustainable agriculture, natural resources, and urban and rural health and well-being. Combined with credit AGCR-1393.
Five evening classes will take you from beginner to a pro-level so people will say “WOW, how did you make that” Concentrating on the endless ways epoxy clays, resins, crystals, beads, and molds can be used in creating clever and interesting jewelry. You’ll create many pieces using all new techniques that will reflect your taste and style. It’s so much fun! Bring your readers and a snack.

A physical conditioning course that emphasizes cardiovascular fitness through your choice of walking, jogging, or a combination of both. Students will not be required to run. Correct techniques in striding and form will be introduced in addition to discussion of the benefits of aerobic exercise, nutrition, weight management, and associated topics. This course is designed specifically for adults 18+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Students explore office procedures including appointment scheduling, records creation and maintenance, interpersonal communications, bookkeeping tasks, coding, billing, collecting, third party reimbursement, credit arrangements, and computer use in the office. Introduction to the study and analysis of the structure and different styles of short fiction. Instructor may bring in novella or novel, but the focus is on short fiction. Possible markets for creative writing will be discussed.
