In this course, students will review basic and intermediate verb tenses, and proceed to advanced structures, emphasizing communicative use in academic and non-academic contexts. Integrated with credit ESOL-0398.
This course combines a two-day, live workshop, along with online activities designed to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in basic,
non-sterile, extemporaneous compounding procedures. Hands-on training includes: capsule preparation, ointments, creams, trochees,
suppositories, use of mortar and pestle, digital scale, graduated cylinders, hotplate, ointment mill, and other compounding equipment. The total
estimated time required to complete this course is 48 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from
2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE
statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 4.8 CEUs (48.0 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based activity. This is a non-sterile
compounding certification course. Prerequisites: Must be a certified (PTCB) Pharmacy Technician; or registered Pharmacist/ registered pharmacy
technician; or have completed an ASHP/ACPE Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program; or have a minimum of six month of
pharmacy experience. This course may be converted to college credit. Integrated with credit PHRA-2271.
Floral Design IV: Business Principles and Sympathy
The course is designed to develop skills to get and keep a job. Students develop customer service skills, money management, how to create displays and point of sale. Vocational skills in a variety of job specific activities are addressed as individuals develop specific areas of interest. Opportunities for transfer into other Continuing Education classes are also explored. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a 16 hour course consisting of an online introduction, classroom lecture, and range training. Skills covered will include: firearm and range safety protocols, pistol nomenclature, loading and unloading, grip, stance, trigger manipulation, and firearms storage and cleaning. By completion of the course students will have a basic understanding of the fundamentals of marksmanship and be able to safely and proficiently handle a pistol with confidence. No prerequisite required. Pistol and ammunition are provided. This class consists of 4 hours online training , 4 hours classroom and 8 hours of range.
Gross anatomy of domestic animals including physiological explanations of how each organ system functions. Veterinary terminology will also be included, with an introduction to word parts, directional terminology, and analysis of common veterinary terms. Prerequisite: Prior to registration for this course, applicants are required to complete an online orientation and meet with the program coordinator. Computer and internet access required for online quizzes and testing.
