Introduction to the study and analysis of the process of writing for film by examining story concept, theme, characterization, structure, and script formatting, and by creating synopses and treatments. Possible markets for creative writing will be discussed.
An instructional program designed to integrate on-campus study with practical hands-on work experience. Sewing fundamental emphasizes the development of basic sewing skills used to create apparel. This course focuses on patterns, fabric selection, basic construction techniques, pressing skills, and timesaving technologies and techniques. Learn how to use your sewing machine. Small projects will be discussed in class. Students must bring sewing machine, tape measure, scissors, and pins.
Students in this course will learn designs appropriate for weddings, including bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, and ceremony and reception decorations. Floral Design Principles is suggested as a prerequisite.
Intermediate WWW Authoring, HTML, and CSS

Publishing, design, and layout techniques for websites. Introduces HTML tables and forms. Demonstrates CSS styling of tables and forms. Introduces CSS page layout and interactive menu creation techniques. Hands-on experience in building web pages using techniques covered in class. Suggested prerequisite: Introduction to World Wide Web Authoring, HTML and CSS, similar course, or equivalent experience.
