Instruction in the identification and use of native plant species of the Edwards Plateau and Llano Uplift. Basic plant knowledge is helpful, but not required. Much of the class will take place on field study trips for plant identification purposes.
Workshop-style course in which students study the concept of hypertext, learn structuring principles and navigation tools common in online information, create web pages using XHTML and CSS, get an introduction to web page development tools such as Dreamweaver; and overview documentation trends such as structured authoring, single-sourcing, and XML. Integrated with credit ETWR-2473.
The use of specialized software and use of adaptive hardware is included in this class. Vocational technology use includes keyboard use, data entry, and transcription accuracy. System and application software skills appropriate for each student are selected during the admissions interview. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Japanese Fine Arts: Haiku, Origami, Calligraphy, and...
This is a course on Japanese fine arts offered by the Continuing Education division at ACC. No knowledge of the Japanese language is required. The course is designed to introduce students to Japanese culture by way of its most important art forms. Students explore reading/writing haiku poems, folding origami, learning some kanji (Chinese characters), practicing calligraphy using those kanji and learning about and playing the Taiko drum in order to expand an appreciation of Japanese culture and language.

Learn: pricing, websites, selling, photographing, online selling plus a new jewelry technique each night. This will include: mold making, resins, epoxy clays, using photos in jewelry, making bead caps, combining techniques and much more! You’ll have new pieces to wear each class. Supplies galore will be available so you can express your own style. Wear clothes for creating + bring a snack + your readers. Plan on meeting new friends. All supplies, a free book & materials provided by the instructor. Take both versions of the class to double your skills.
The capstone is designed to pull all aspects of the program classwork together into one portfolio and final micro teach. In addition, the course will address Mental Health First Aide, resume construction, interviewing, school district structure, and parent conferencing.
An examination of major theories of various treatment modalities. Topics include reality therapy, psychodynamics, grief therapy, person-centered therapy, rational emotive therapy, and cognitive behavioral approaches. (R) Integrated with college credit PSYT 2339. (LCDC, SW)
