This course will cover the basics of making a photograph using your iPhone. Which includes: light and paying close attention to it. Context is nearly as important as the subject. Choosing the best exposure setting to get the desired result. Participants will learn and use exposure settings, editing, and storage on a newer iPhone to create great photographs. Additionally, this course will explore intentionality and audience when making photos.
Designed for high-intermediate level ESOL students, this course emphasizes speaking and listening to formal American English used in college and work settings. There will be practice on academic listening and note-taking skills as well as exposure to real-life formal talks and college lectures. Class activities include group discussions on academic and professional subject matter, listening to lectures and taking notes on academic topics and giving informative presentations demonstrating appropriate elements of presentation delivery, such as eye contact, body language, voice control, and visual aid. There is continued focus on correct pronunciation. This course may be repeated for up to 6 hours of credit. Integrated with credit ESOL-0303.
This course combines a two-day, live workshop, along with online activities designed to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in basic,
non-sterile, extemporaneous compounding procedures. Hands-on training includes: capsule preparation, ointments, creams, trochees,
suppositories, use of mortar and pestle, digital scale, graduated cylinders, hotplate, ointment mill, and other compounding equipment. The total
estimated time required to complete this course is 48 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from
2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE
statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 4.8 CEUs (48.0 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based activity. This is a non-sterile
compounding certification course. Prerequisites: Must be a certified (PTCB) Pharmacy Technician; or registered Pharmacist/ registered pharmacy
technician; or have completed an ASHP/ACPE Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program; or have a minimum of six month of
pharmacy experience. This course may be converted to college credit. Integrated with credit PHRA-2271.
Skills development for professional personnel practicing in critical care units, emergency departments, and paramedic ambulances. Establishes a system of protocols for management of the patient experiencing cardiac difficulties. Meets the American Heart Association requirements for ACLS provider course. Participants who successfully complete the course receive an AHA ACLS Provider card. Course materials will be mailed to registered participants a minimum of one week prior to course. Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class day. Lunch is not provided. Approved for 16 nursing and TDH-P contact hours. Prerequisite: Knowledge and skills associated with basic CPR. You will learn the secret to using formula-based conditional formatting as a creative solution to common issues. You will also learn how to leverage Excel's Power Query tool to import and transform data from about any data source. By the time you finish this course, you will have mastered Microsoft Excel 2019/Office 365 and will be able to better serve your company's data management needs. Software requirements: PC: Windows 10 or later operating systems. Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge is also compatible. Microsoft Excel, a subscription to Office 365, or Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019. Suggested prerequisite: Excel 2019 Intermediate or understanding of Microsoft Excel use and functions.
