This course is designed to prepare teachers to instruct learners whose primary language is other than English. The course emphasizes language concepts and best instructional practices for facilitating English language proficiency. Instructional techniques for both literacy and oral language development focus on social and academic language skills. Students will learn tools, mechanics, elements, and principles of design, as well as cut flower identification, care, and handling.
