Opportunities provided for students to practice these skills under a professional mentor in a group setting. Integrated with college credit FITT 2331. The following course is integrated with the Exercise Science program. This course is designed to offer instruction for individuals interested in entering the workforce as a fitness professional and can be used in pursuit of the Fitness Specialist and Personal Fitness Trainer certificates or assist in preparing for national certification as a Personal Fitness Trainer. Principles of Behavior Management and Modification
A study of the theories and principles of behavior management, cognitive theories and techniques. Emphasis will be on their applications including managing self-behavior. In-depth study will be in operant conditioning techniques. Integrated with credit PSYT-2345.
This class is intended for anyone desiring to increase the power and impact of their speaking voice. Training in healthy vocal production is an essential part of speaking intentionally in any situation, from the stage or screen to the classroom or boardroom. In this course, you’ll learn a variety of techniques for preparing and utilizing your natural voice to speak confidently in a variety of environments. The first few classes will focus on active exercises designed to healthily engage the various aspects of vocal production, while the final sessions will practically apply what you’ve learned to scenes, speeches, interpersonal communication, or presentations.

Instructional techniques for both literacy and oral language development focus on social and academic language skills. In addition, the course prepares the candidates for managing the ESL program, ESL classroom, working with families, and drawing upon community resources.
Introduction to Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

This course provides a fundamental understanding and introduction to cloud computing concepts from a business and technical perspective, including cloud concepts, services, architecture, system integration, connectivity, data center migration, administration, security, compliance and technical support and how they operate in Microsoft Azure. The course prepares students for the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification exam (AZ-900) by exploring Azure services, security, privacy, compliance, and trust, as well as Azure pricing and support. By the end of the course, students will have a foundational grasp of Azure Cloud and be prepared to dive deeper into more specific Azure services. The course is taught through e-learning via instructor-led zoom sessions and course instructions, quizzes and exams delivered through blackboard. The hands-on lab modules will be delivered through Microsoft Learn platform. No prerequisites. A book is required.
