This course will discuss local agricultural pests and their impact on crops in Central Texas. An introduction to anatomical systems with emphasis placed on head and neck anatomy. The supporting oral structures, embryology of the teeth, and tooth nomenclature are covered. Topics include the physiology and morphology of the deciduous and the permanent teeth along with basic dental terminology. This is the first course in the Dental Assisting Program. Admission to the Dental Assisting Program is required for registration.
Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

This course will introduce students to various forms of artificial intelligence (AI) and how we interact with AI as consumers in applications like chatbots and recommendation engines. Students will see how AI provides analytics in business and consider industries that may be transformed or even disrupted by AI implementations. Includes review of neural networks, machine learning, AI applications such as natural language processing, forecasting, and robotics as well as the AI development process and some of the ethical factors in AI deployment.
A continuation of practices and techniques used in basic computer-aided drafting emphasizing advanced dimensioning techniques, the development and use of prototype drawings, construction of pictorial drawings, construction of three dimensional drawings, interfacing 2D and 3D environments and extracting data.
