Instruction in dance performance through experiential projects at the freshman level. Students will rehearse and perform dance works choreographed by dance faculty and/or guest artists. A study of two important forms of the proposal: the grant proposal and the new-business plan (also known as business prospectus). Students learn how to find grants, analyze their requirements, and then write a successful grant proposal. Students also plan a business startup, including funding and marketing research, and then write a business plan promoting the startup to potential investors. Integrated with credit ETWR-1376.
Instruction for all levels of skill in the fundamentals of basketball. Emphasis upon the development and improvement of total fitness, skill and general knowledge about basketball for leisure time use. Interested in making a career change to Software Development The Austin Community College Software Development Bootcamp and is an excellent choice for building skills in the high demand areas of software development. The ACC bootcamp covers Full stack Javascript Software, Git, and many more technologies.
In order to get prepared for the Bootcamp, ACC is offering a Bootcamp Prep Course. In this prep course, you will work on essential computer and math skills. This 2 week long course will help navigate the rigor of the Bootcamp.
Bootcamp Prep Course includes:
-Familiarity with web technologies: HTML
-Simple programming concepts using online gaming environments like MIT Scratch
-Use of computer tools including: Linux Command Line, Git/Github, Visual Studio Code
-Familiarity with your computer's operating system, including Windows 10, Windows Subsystem Linux and Mac OSX

Excel 2019 Intermediate

You will learn how to harness the power of Excel's data analysis tools and AutoFilter commands and how to create macros that eliminate repetitive tasks. Set yourself apart from the casual Excel user by adding VLOOKUP, INDEX, and MATCH, and other intermediate functions to your professional skill set. In addition, you will learn to create macros that let you manipulate data with the push of a button. You'll also discover how to use Goal Seek and Solver and apply them to real-world problems. Software requirements: PC: Windows 10 or later operating systems. Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge is also compatible. Microsoft Excel, a subscription to Office 365, or Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019. Suggested prerequisite: Excel Introduction or basic understanding of Microsoft Excel uses and functions.
Introduction to Java Programming

today. Java developers are still in demand. In this course, you will learn the basic concepts of the Java programming language, design object-oriented applications with Java, and create Java programs using hands-on and engaging activities. Suggested Course Prerequisites: General computing knowledge and a desire to learn programming with Java.
An instructional program designed to integrate on-campus study with practical hands-on work experience.
