Course Description

This 60-hour course prepares students for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) "Six Sigma Black Belt" certification. The course is a refresher study of the Body of Knowledge for the Certified Six Sigma Black Belt. Topics include enterprise-wide deployment, business process management, project management, six sigma improvement methodology and tools (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control), lean enterprise, and design for six sigma. The student will focus on the theory and application of these six sigma skills by studying the course materials and taking and reviewing sample exams containing questions similar to those on the actual CSSBB exam. See the ASQ website, www.asq.org, for information about prerequisites to apply for the examination and details about the examination, the body of knowledge, and other aspects of this certification.
