Introduction to Laban Movement Analysis is a LABAN/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies endorsed introductory course. After successful completion of this course, students will receive a certification through LIMS. Aikido is a no punch, no kick art of self-defense. Using Aikido's throwing and pinning arts properly, an attack can be neutralized without inflicting serious injury. At its higher levels, it is an effective discipline for the development, integration and utilization of all human powers-physical, mental and spiritual. Students with mild to moderate intellectual and developmental disabilities will benefit from the course. The course will focus on appropriate social behavior at school or work. Students will practice appropriate workplace behavior, learn about building healthy friendships and how to handle conflict. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This course combines a two-day, live workshop, along with online activities designed to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in basic,
non-sterile, extemporaneous compounding procedures. Hands-on training includes: capsule preparation, ointments, creams, trochees,
suppositories, use of mortar and pestle, digital scale, graduated cylinders, hotplate, ointment mill, and other compounding equipment. The total
estimated time required to complete this course is 48 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from
2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE
statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 4.8 CEUs (48.0 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based activity. This is a non-sterile
compounding certification course. Prerequisites: Must be a certified (PTCB) Pharmacy Technician; or registered Pharmacist/ registered pharmacy
technician; or have completed an ASHP/ACPE Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program; or have a minimum of six month of
pharmacy experience. This course may be converted to college credit. Integrated with credit PHRA-2271.
Led by Craig Nigh, this workshop is a must for film and television actors, particularly for auditions! Craig offers a step by step process for examining scripts quickly and thoroughly. Having a clear perception of the writer’s intentions will help inform the choices an actor makes and gives ultimate creative freedom inside the context of the story. The class also focuses on connection (with another actor or reader), and basic camera technique. Scenes are filmed for playback and critique. Limited to 12 students.
