Instruction in the utilization of presentation software to produce multimedia presentations. Graphics, text, sound, animation and/or video may be used in presentation development. This course covers the required skill sets on the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) specialist level exam.

A short conversational course for intermediate to advanced student, to assist them in conducting conversations in Spanish, as well as understanding articles written in Spanish. This course continues to introduce new advanced grammar topics in order for the student to master conversation skills.
This course will focus on the Science of Teaching Reading including phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary development, comprehension, and fluency. Candidates will develop instruction and assessment skills and learn differentiation and support strategies for striving readers. The course is required for candidates who must pass the TEA Science of Teaching Reading assessment for licensure.
This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in sterile compounding related to pediatric preparations. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: pediatric calculations, pediatric LVP, EEC, and syringe preparations, other neonatal and/or pediatric CSPs. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based Activity. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course " PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. This course provides an introduction to vocal technique for the beginning to advanced-beginning singer. Students will have the opportunity to sing both individually and as part of a group. This class is ideal for anyone who desires to gain a foundational knowledge of singing, including stage and film actors. Students are encouraged to focus on the musical styles that most interest them, with support from the instructor in identifying specific song choices. By the end of the course, participants will have become better acquainted with the unique qualities of their individual voices. No prior singing experience necessary.
Introduction to a practical application of basic language usage skills with emphasis on fundamentals of writing and editing for business. Access to business communications web site and on-line study guide helps students develop their English skills with additional emphasis on spelling and vocabulary.
