Course Description

Tired of courses that prepare you for a bunch of multiple choice questions, but leave you wondering if you have obtained more capability as a result This class not only gives you the opportunity to learn the vocabulary and knowledge required to past tests, but also the work flows and actual hands on tasks needed so desperately by security professionals in this day and time. As the InfoSec community adopts ISO and NIST standards to improve security, this course will teach a unified approach that assists your passage of CASP, CISSP, Security+ and / or SSCP certifications and prepares you to build and manage a more secure Records Management Systems based on NIST and ISO standards. We need you to be ready to do digital combat with very bad people. Are you up to it Want to learn how to be ready Enroll in this course where the book is not all that you will crack. All books and materials will be provided as part of the lab fee. Suggested prerequisite: Four to ten years of experience in information security.

Meet The Instructor

David L. Gray

Dave Gray is a CISSP, CAP, PMP and ITIL certified Information Technology Leader skilled in securing information systems to achieve information confidentiality, integrity and availability. Dave promotes IT as a key enabler for organizational and enterprise success ensuring information is protected. Dave's focus is securing information systems' Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability through Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (GRC) using information security frameworks established by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Dave retired in 2011 from the Texas Army National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel where he managed IT Operations and Information Security for 5,000 network users spread across Texas. During his time with the military Dave established one of the first (one of five) Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERT) in the country for the National Guard and conducted multiple information security assessments for the National Guard and the active Army. Prior to working with Information Security, Dave flew AH1 Cobra helicopters for the military and worked for Texas Instruments and Raytheon as an Oracle Database Administrator and Project Manager. In addition to his role as the CyberSecurity Program Manager for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, Dave teaches local community college classes for the CISSP and ITIL certifications.
