International purchasing or sourcing. Includes the advantages and the barriers of purchasing internationally, global sourcing, procurement technology, and purchasing processes. Emphasizes issues of contract administration, location, and evaluation of foreign suppliers, total cost approach, exchange fluctuations, customs procedures, and related topics. Integrated with credit IBUS-1341.
In this course, students will review basic verb tenses, proceed to intermediate structures, emphasizing communicative use in academic and non-academic contests. Students will also complete lab projects enforcing these forms and concepts. Integrated with credit ESOL-0397.
Facilitating the use of public transportation enhances opportunities for independent living and competitive, community-based employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Learning to independently use public transportation increases access to autonomous activities, such as opportunities to work and to attend post-secondary education programs on large college campuses. Students will be taught to read Bus Maps/Routes, use GPS-based applications, and access public transportation (Bus, Light Rail, walking, etc.).
Exploration of procedures to identify and evaluate an individual's and/or family's strengths, weaknesses, problems, and needs in order to develop an effective plan of action. Topics include oral and written communications essential for screening, assessment, and case management to determine the need for prevention, intervention, and/or referral. Combined with credit SCWK-2301.
Continuation and progression from beginning tennis. Students with mastery of fundamental strokes will learn through play and instruction in the more advanced strategies and skills. The history of radiology theory will be presented including physics, radiation protection, operation of radiographic equipment, darkroom procedures, and exposure techniques. The student will state the theory and principles of radiographic techniques, physics, and radiation health and safety; and exhibit competency in exposing, processing, and mounting intraoral radiographs. Only current students of the Dental Assisting Program can register for this course.
