This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in TPN sterile compounding procedures. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: TPN calculations, TPN base solution and additive preparation, use/cleaning/calibration of an automated TPN compounder, etc. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based Activity. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. Targeted for information systems or engineering students seeking cloud computing expertise, Cloud Computing Architecture is an AWS Academy provided curriculum designed to help students develop technical expertise in cloud computing using the AWS framework, including web monitoring and analytical tools to improve and report site functionality. Students are prepared for the AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification exam. The curriculum is taught through e-learning, instructor-led classes, hands-on labs, online knowledge assessments, and project work. The student kit includes course manuals, access to labs, and a practice exam. Suggested prerequisite: AWS cloud computing architecture requires a strong conceptual foundation in multiple computing, software development, and IT concepts and skills as identified in the syllabus.
Instruction in the identification and use of native plant species of the Edwards Plateau and Llano Uplift. Basic plant knowledge is helpful, but not required. Much of the class will take place on field study trips for plant identification purposes.

Suggested prerequisites: four years in a exempt level HR position: (HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, HR Director); or six years in an exempt level Specialist position: (Training & Development Specialist, Benefits Specialist, Recruiting Specialist, Employee Relations Specialist); or seven years in a non-exempt HR position (HR Assistant, HR Coordinator).

Instruction in proofreading and editing skills necessary to assure accuracy in business documents as well as technical documents. Designed to give students a working understanding of the role of the technical editor as collaborator and decision maker in the entire publication process. Topics include online editing, revising, hypertext, graphics, visual design, and project estimating. Integrated with credit ETWR-2379.
