This is an intermediate class focusing on acting for the camera. It is required that you have had at least a basic acting class before joining - such as Acting Fundamentals or equivalent. The emphasis is on camera technique as well as developing a naturalistic acting style through connection, honesty, vulnerability, and following intuitive impulses. The students’ work will be explored through exercises and scene study from film and television scripts. Some videotaping and playback will be used for critique.
In-depth coverage of the structure and function of the human body. Includes cell structure and function, tissues, body organization, and the integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, and endocrine systems. Emphasizes homeostasis/wellness care. Meets the minimum 75-contact-hour requirement for Anatomy and Physiology for licensure.
Special skills and techniques in the application of counseling skills for the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) client. Development and utilization of advanced treatment planning and management. Includes review of confidentiality and ethical issues. Integrated with college credit DAAC 2341.
A survey of fashion direction, publicity, and fashion event coordination. Emphasis on fashion show production from idea to runway including theme development, stage/set design, choreography, music coordination, lighting, line-up, model fittings, rehearsal, and press kit development. Major concepts, theories, and their applications to prepare for the SHRM-CP/SCP Certification Exam. Suggested prerequisites: four years in a exempt level HR position: (HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, HR Manager, HR Director); or six years in an exempt level Specialist position: (Training & Development Specialist, Benefits Specialist, Recruiting Specialist, Employee Relations Specialist); or seven years in a non-exempt HR position (HR Assistant, HR Coordinator).
This course is designed specifically for adults 18+ with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Students develop entry-level and intermediate skills for the workforce. Includes professionalism, interpersonal skills, communication, workplace civility, and employability skills. Application, assessment and interview required prior to admittance.
