A general survey of dance forms designed to create an appreciation of the vocabulary, techniques and purposes of the creative process. This course includes critical interpretation and evaluations of choreographic works and dance forms within cultural and historical contexts. When converted to credit, this course fulfills the Texas Core Curriculum requirement for Creative Arts. Integrated with credit DANC-2303. Revit Architecture is a powerful Building Information Modeling (BIM) program that works the way Architects think. From Preliminary Design through Design Development and into Construction Documents, the program streamlines the design process with a central 3D model. Changes made in one view update across all views and on the printable sheets. Since building projects themselves tend to be extremely complex, Revit Architecture necessarily a complex program. The objective of the Revit Architecture 2011 Fundamentals course is to enable students to create full 3D architectural project models and set them up in working drawings. You begin by learning about the user interface and the Revit commands for design development followed by those available for construction documentation. Duration: 32 hours. Prerequisites:

Fundamentals of PC Use

Introduction to operating systems, file creation/deletion, data entry and manipulation, automatic file execution, configuration, and directory commands. Perfect for new users who want to gain confidence and a firm foundation in using personal computers. Topics include using the keyboard and mouse; working in the Windows environment, and learning basic troubleshooting. Suggested prerequisites: none.
This class is for students with professional experience and/or previous film acting training. Tony Sears focuses on achieving an honest and vulnerable performance for the camera. The emphasis is on energy and making choices that highlight the actor’s power to tell a story. Students will explore the work through scene study from film and television scripts with some videotaping and playback for evaluation. Suggested prerequisite: Two or more beginning acting classes, Acting Explorations, or other previous acting training/experience. Materials needed: internet connection & audio/video capability with computer or tablet; updated (free) Zoom account.
