To prepare for employment as a medical office support personnel, insurance clerk or receptionist, students are placed in doctors’ offices and health care centers for internships. Students will demonstrate/perform the duties of a medical office support personnel including appointment scheduling, records creation and maintenance, phone, finances, coding, billing, collecting, third party reimbursement, and computer usage. Students will demonstrate accurate and efficient scheduling of patient appointments; create, document, and maintain patient medical records; correlate accurate coding, billing, collecting, and filing of procedures; perform financial processes; and use the computer for basic office functions.
Autodesk Inventor The Complete Guide is designed to give you a solid understanding of Inventor, its features, and capabilities; from the basics through to the most advanced and complex topics. This course covers Sketching, Adding Part Features, Creating the Drawing, Presentations, and Weldments. Autodesk Inventor is a 3D parametric modeling system, offering professional-grade 3D mechanical design, documentation, and product simulation tools. With Inventor, you can create 3D digital prototypes and then use them to create drawings, visualizations, and simulations.
This course contains adaptive lessons designed to teach individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities skills in Inclusive and Accessible Healthy Relationship and Safer Sexuality Curriculum for Young Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The class is individualized to meet a student’s needs and goals.
This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in TPN sterile compounding procedures. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state-of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: TPN calculations, TPN base solution and additive preparation, use/cleaning/calibration of an automated TPN compounder, etc. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion, ACPE statement of credit, and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based Activity. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. When submitting your online petition, you must scan and upload your resume or CV, proof of certification or registration, and evidence of IV certificate, to be evaluated as evidence that you meet the prerequisites. A continuation of Massage Therapy Fundamentals I. Emphasizes specialized techniques and assessment of client needs to identify a specific plan of care. Completes the requirements for Massage Techniques for licensure. Prerequisite: MSSG 1011/1411: Massage Therapy Fundamentals I Instruction in the theory and the skills necessary to perform the Clinical Massage Therapy to a varying population using a variety of clinical skills to meet TDLR requirements for licensure as a Massage Therapist Prerequisite; MSSG-1011, MSSG-1013.
Introduction to the manual graphic techniques of Landscape Design. This is a hand drafting course. Drafting techniques and freehand sketching will be covered including plan, elevation/section, perspective drawing, scale, landscape symbols, and rendering techniques.
