This course practices the ways in which spoken English differs from written with emphasis on the strategies English speakers use to make their message very clear for listeners. Time is spent learning how English sounds that tend to challenge non-native speakers are produced, and how native speakers produce the characteristic rhythm and intonation patterns of the language. To register for Advanced American Pronunciation (COMX 4009) you must have a passing grade of C or higher in Oral Communication 2 (COMX 4002) or placement into Oral Communication 3 (COMX 4003) or higher on the ESOL assessment test.
Pre-requisites: All program classes completed with a passing grade of “C” or above, immunizations, CPR, First Aid uploaded, background and drug screen obtained through Castlebranch. One hundred, sixty hours in a physician's office or clinic, integrating knowledge and skills into a workplace environment. Coordinator overview/preceptor supervision.
Overview of the selling process. Identification of the elements of the communication process between buyers and sellers and examination of the legal and ethical issues of organizations which affect salespeople.
Instruction in the intermediate techniques and concepts associated with ballet. This is a ballet technique class. Prerequisites: BSKX-5041 or DANC-1241 or instructor approval. Instruction in dance performance through experiential projects at the sophomore level. Students will rehearse and perform dance works choreographed by dance faculty and/or guest artists. Want to set up a jewelry business or just learn new ideas Start with this course which will build your knowledge from the beginning. You’ll get plenty of 1 on 1 time. Learn: pricing, websites, selling, photographing, online selling plus a new jewelry technique each night. This will include: mold making, resins, epoxy clays, using photos in jewelry, making bead caps, combining techniques and much more! You’ll have new pieces to wear each class. Supplies galore will be available so you can express your own style. Wear clothes for creating + bring a snack + your readers. Plan on meeting new friends. All supplies, a free book & materials provided by the instructor. Take both versions of the class to double your skills.
Study of plants in landscape design and their structural, environmental, and aesthetic uses. Garden styles and techniques as well as the development of planting plans will be covered. Instructor will provide a syllabus on the first day of class which will include book and/or supply info at approximate cost of $50. Recommended prerequisite: HALT 1072 Introduction to Landscape Graphics.
