Pre-requisites: All program classes completed with a passing grade of “C” or above, immunizations, CPR, First Aid uploaded, background and drug screen obtained through Castlebranch. One hundred, sixty hours in a physician's office or clinic, integrating knowledge and skills into a workplace environment. Coordinator overview/preceptor supervision.
Study of current office procedures including telephone skills, time management, travel and meeting arrangements, mail processing, and other duties and responsibilities in an office environment. Required textbook (e-book) is available through Blackboard at acconline.austincc.edu.
Suggested prerequisites: POFT 1070 Administrative Assistant.
A course in the management of the pediatric patient experiencing difficulties in medical and/or trauma related emergencies. Meets the American Heart Association requirements for PALS provider course. Participants who successfully complete the course receive an AHA PALS Provider card. Course materials will be mailed to registered participants a minimum of one week prior to course. Registration deadline is one week prior to the first class day. Lunch is not provided. Approved for 16 nursing and TDH-P contact hours. Prerequisite: Knowledge and skills associated with basic CPR. Software Development Bootcamp - Trial Classes

These classes are designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of web development. The fast pace and challenging mini-project will give you a taste of the full blown 24 week full stack web development bootcamp (full-bootcamp) that is offered through ACC Continuing Education. At the end of the last class, you will get an opportunity to meet the instructors of the bootcamp, and have any questions answered relating to training approaches, nature of projects you will be given, job prospects, career planning approaches etc.
Stained Glass Workshop (Copper Foil Technique). Learn the basics of stained glass in this introductory hands-on class. Each student will learn the skills to complete a beautiful stained glass panel, including glass cutting, grinding, soldering, and finishing following the copper foil method (derived by L. C. Tiffany). No previous experience with glass is required. All tools, materials, and necessary equipment will be provided. Four classes.
