Negotiating transactions. Includes preparation for negotiation, styles of negotiating, strategies for adversarial negotiations, and negotiation etiquette. Learn the strategies and tactics needed to influence others and reach long-lasting, profitable agreements. This interactive course teaches successful negotiation skills through role play and case studies from real life, giving the knowledge and experience to handle difficult conversations and communicate with people from different cultures.
An introduction to the family as a dynamic system focusing on the effects of addiction pertaining to family roles, rules, and behavior patterns. Discuss the impact of mood altering substances and behaviors and therapeutic alternatives as they relate to the family from a multicultural and transgenerational perspective. This class is for actors who are new to commercial and industrial acting. Students will learn how to approach various types of commercial auditions, including MOS (without sound), improv (solo and group), personality-based, and spokesperson auditions. We’ll cover how to slate, camera & teleprompter techniques, clothing and styling tips, and strategies for successful callbacks. We’ll end the class with a brief overview of business logistics, including headshots, casting websites, agencies, and casting directors in the Austin market.

Want to set up a jewelry business or just learn new ideas Start with this course which will build your knowledge from the beginning. You’ll get plenty of 1 on 1 time. Learn: pricing, websites, selling, photographing, online selling plus a new jewelry technique each night. This will include: mold making, resins, epoxy clays, using photos in jewelry, making bead caps, combining techniques and much more! You’ll have new pieces to wear each class. Supplies galore will be available so you can express your own style. Wear clothes for creating + bring a snack + your readers. Plan on meeting new friends. All supplies, a free book & materials provided by the instructor. Take both versions of the class to double your skills.
Aikido is a no punch, no kick art of self-defense. Using Aikido's throwing and pinning arts properly, an attack can be neutralized without inflicting serious injury. At its higher levels, it is an effective discipline for the development, integration and utilization of all human powers-physical, mental and spiritual. This class is a continuation of Guitar I. Topics will include: minor chords, strumming technique and basic music theory. This is a good opportunity to explore the guitar in a friendly, low stress environment. A guitar and pick are required; acoustic or classical guitars preferred but electric guitars are acceptable.
