An introduction to the study of the Spanish language with instruction structured to promote the development of speaking and listening skills for direct application within business and personal settings. Offered within a relaxed and enjoyable environment, and conducted in English and Spanish, the instruction focuses on the development of vocabulary, pronunciation skills, basic sentence patterns, and overview of Latin Culture.

Illustrator is the industry-standard illustration software for creating logos, package design, posters, and virtually every kind of 2-D illustration (and even some 3-D). Learn to leverage the third pillar of the Adobe Creative Suite, integrating it into your Photoshop and InDesign workflow. In this class you will learn the ins and outs of vector illustration, including basic shape rendering, complex shading, and many other powerful features that make Illustrator the most versatile publishing software on the market. Suggested prerequisites: Fundamentals of PC Use or equivalent experience.

Introduction to operating systems, file creation/deletion, data entry and manipulation, automatic file execution, configuration, and directory commands. Perfect for new users who want to gain confidence and a firm foundation in using personal computers. Topics include using the keyboard and mouse; working in the Windows environment, and learning basic troubleshooting. Suggested prerequisites: none.
Practicum (or Field Experience) - Phlebotomy/Phlebotomist
Practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student. Combined with college credit PLAB-1166.
Instruction in dance performance through experiential projects at the sophomore level. Students will rehearse and perform dance works choreographed by dance faculty and/or guest artists. This course provides an introduction to vocal technique for the beginning to advanced-beginning singer. Students will have the opportunity to sing both individually and as part of a group. This class is ideal for anyone who desires to gain a foundational knowledge of singing, including stage and film actors. Students are encouraged to focus on the musical styles that most interest them, with support from the instructor in identifying specific song choices. By the end of the course, participants will have become better acquainted with the unique qualities of their individual voices. No prior singing experience necessary.
