Roberta E. Leahy

Roberta Leahy got her start in the field of Healthcare working as a CNA. She received her massage training at NH Institute for Therapeutic Arts in Hudson, NH in 1992. Upon licensure in New Hampshire, she did practiced massage in Acupuncture and Chiropractic Clinics. Six years later, in 1998 she completed the PT Assistant program at Mount Wachussett Community College in Gardner MA. In 1998/99 Roberta attended The Boston Shiatsu School in Cambridge MA.

Since moving to Texas in 2000, Roberta has worked as a PTA in hospitals and Rehab Centers utilizing both massage and physical therapy in her work. She has served as clinical instructor for numerous PTAs. She maintains both TX Massage and PTA licenses. In 2008 she added Yoga Teacher Training to her already vast knowledge of bodywork modalities.

For personal development Roberta has attended Real Love groups and seminars since 2007. She currently facilitates a Real Love group here in Austin. She has been a life-long belly dance enthusiast and performer. Roberta spends her time off traveling and visiting her two children on the west coast and the rest of her family on the east coast!

She is also a student at ACC! She enjoys taking classes that enrich her skills as a teacher of Anatomy and Physiology, and Kinesiology.

At ACC’s Massage Therapy Program, Roberta teaches Anatomy & Physiology and Kinesiology.
