Meet Your Instructor

Theresa A. Attea

Theresa is a Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor and Registered Nurse. At ACC she is an instructor for Fundamentals 1, Hydrotherapy, Health and Hygiene, and Pathology.

Theresa graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1988 from D'Youville College with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, and a Minor in Psychology and has received the Silver Medal of Honor in Nursing for Clinical Excellence. Theresa has been a Registered Nurse for 30 years. She specialized in Pediatric Intensive Care, Clinical Quality and Patient Safety and currently, Home Health Care.

In 1996, she studied massage therapy at the Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage Therapy in Austin, TX. In 1997 she completed 250 hours of Advanced Massage. Since then she has studied Craniosacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Reiki and Healing Touch. She has a private massage practice in Southwest Austin.

She is a Family Division Introduction Leader for Young People and Teens with Landmark Worldwide. In 2018, she started a non-profit, Warriors at Peace, providing massage therapy to veterans with Military Trauma. In her free time, she enjoys singing and playing guitar and spending time with her teenage son and 2 cats.
