The Biology Department offers a short “prep” course at various times throughout the year in conjunction with Continuing Education to refresh students’ knowledge of high school biology and chemistry and help students prepare for the Course Readiness Assessment test required for registration in BIOL 2401 (A&P I). Students wishing to sign up for the class should enroll in BIOL-4000.

A string ensemble group that is open to any student who can qualify by audition. Emphasis is on performance of literature for small ensembles. Three hours of rehearsal required per week. Combined with credit MUEN-1134.
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use. This course satisfies OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.151
An experiential and theoretical approach to Laban Movement Analysis at an advanced level, including study of Laban's scales, effort graphs, phrasing and relationships.
In-depth application of surgical, obstetrical, and anesthesia techniques including identification and use of instruments and equipment. Prerequisites: VTHT 1001-Introduction to Veterinary Technology, VTHT 1013-Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology, VTHT 1009-Veterinary Nutrition, VTHT 1049-Veterinary Pharmacology, or instructor approval.
