An instrumental performance group that is open to any student who can qualify by audition. Emphasis on performance of jazz music for small ensembles. Combined with credit MUEN-1137.
Introduction to Computers: Computer Fundamentals
Course Description
The use of specialized software and use of adaptive hardware is included in this class. Vocational technology use includes keyboard use, data entry, and transcription accuracy. System and application software skills appropriate for each student are selected during the admissions interview. This course is geared toward supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Applied Project Management
Course Description
This intermediate level certificate course, taught by Bob Futrell and a team of PMP certified instructors, is a process-oriented, practical, foundational project management course emphasizing both knowledge and skill, for traditional or agile projects. It builds on the current edition of the Project Management Institute’s <i>Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK Guide)</i> with examples and exercises to provide a solid framework and context for managing projects, and preparing for professional certifications in project management. This course provides an excellent foundation for students who already have some exposure to managing projects in any industry, or who would like to manage projects but may not have enough documentable work experience hours yet, or who are seeking to pass professional certification exams, but lack expertise and skill in all the knowledge areas covered in the current PMBOK Guide. It helps prepare students to earn and maintain the Project
Introduction to Python

Course Description
People gravitate to technology to solve problems. Python is a programming language that lets you work quickly to solve these problems. If you are interested in learning Python, this is the class for you. We will emphasize learning the basics of programming using Python, so you can leverage the reference book to solve real-world issues on your own upon course completion. Suggested prerequisite: General computing knowledge and a desire to learn programming with Python.
Planting Design
Program Area: Lifelong Learning
Course Description
Study of plants in landscape design and their structural, environmental, and aesthetic uses. Garden styles and techniques as well as the development of planting plans will be covered. Instructor will provide a syllabus on the first day of class which will include book and/or supply info at approximate cost of $50. Taught by a native speaker, students in this class will expand on what they have learned in Conversational Italian II. This course will help students develop better listening to real conversations, practice in speaking, and focus on correct pronunciation. Prerequisite: Conversational Italian II.
