The study of physical and financial office practices and marketing. Includes ethical practices for massage therapists as established by law or regulatory agency. Meets the minimum 45-contact-hour requirement for licensure for Massage. Students learn scope of practice, ethical standards, policies and regulations that affect a massage business. Topics include establishing self-care strategies and successful therapeutic relationships; forming professional alliances; attracting particular markets using sales, marketing and retention strategies; and how to apply financial, administrative and insurance processes to the massage profession. Students will create business plan outlines for massage practices. Prerequisite: Completed program application.

Court Interpreting is a two part course presenting interpreting skills for individuals who are fluent in English and Spanish and students must take the courses in order. This course focuses on simultaneous and consecutive interpreting and sight translation in court settings. It will include roles, responsibilities, and ethics of the court interpreter, protocol and procedures for effectively working with judges, attorneys, and respondents to avoid conflicts of interest, and legal terminology. Information about licensing and certification for court interpreters will also be provided. The course “Court Interpreting: Part 1” is a prerequisite for this course.
Unlock the world of Business Analysis with this intensive training program! Acquire a solid foundation in fundamental concepts and master crucial techniques essential for the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications. This virtual Insturctor-led course provides novice business analysts or those wanting to enter the profession with an understanding of the foundation concepts and essential business analysis techniques. To ensure that everyone has a common understanding of how projects are performed, there is also a focus on critical concepts of projects and project management. Through class discussions and homework, participants learn how an organization identifies the need for changes and selects solution approaches. With exercises and discussion, they learn how requirements are elicited and analyzed, practicing some of business analysts' most common techniques. They get experience with interviews, workshops, process modeling, writing use cases and user stories, building functional requirements, and performing structured walkthroughs. Participants read and discuss the IIBA BABOK Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge and the PMI Guide to Business Analysis as the foundation of the course.

This course combines a two-day live workshop, along with pre-course reading, and significant online/distance learning (DIL) coursework, and a
proctored, written examination, to train pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in USP<800> regulations and chemotherapy sterile compounding procedures. All course activities are designed to be completed within a 12-week semester. The two-day, hands-on workshop is held in our state- of-the-art training facility in Austin, Texas. All other coursework is completed online using our Blackboard Learning Management System. Hands-on training includes: chemotherapy calculations, chemo LVP, and SVP prep, etc. as well as use of biological safety cabinet, barrier isolator, and other chemotherapy compounding equipment. The total estimated time required to complete this course is 64 hours (live workshop combined with home-study); may be spread out over a period of from 2-weeks up to one-semester, depending on course section. CPE activity completers will receive a frame-able certificate of completion and upload of ACPE credit of 6.4 CEUs (64 hours) into CPE monitor. This is a Practice-Based activity. This is a Chemotherapy Certification Course. Prerequisites: Certified (PTCB) pharmacy technician and/or registered pharmacy technician (technicians practicing in states that do not require certification or registration will be considered on a case-by-case basis); or registered pharmacist or pharmacy intern with ≥ 1 year of pharmacy experience and ≥ 6 months of direct sterile compounding experience. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited or ACPE accredited IV certificate comprised of ≥ 40 hours (4.0 CEUs) for technicians or ≥ 20 hours (2.0 CEUs) for pharmacists, of which ≥ 50% of coursework was comprised of direct sterile compounding experience. Preferred: Completion of ACC’s Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique (SCAT) course PHRA 1091; ≥ two years of pharmacy experience and ≥ 1 year of direct sterile compounding experience. When submitting your online petition, you must scan and upload your resume or CV, proof of certification or registration, and evidence of IV certificate, to be evaluated as evidence that you meet the prerequisites. Note: This course may be converted to college credit. Integrated with credit PHRA-2372.
