By working closely with licensed pharmacists to provide medication and other vital healthcare products, technicians provide a wide assortment of hands-on services. From preparing and mixing prescriptions, to establishing and maintaining patient profiles, to managing the often complex insurance claim process, Pharmacy Technicians are intimately involved with all aspects of medication preparation and dispensing.

Austin Community College offers our Pharmacy Technician Program to prepare you for your new career in the pharmacy industry. Our program combines lecture, on-campus laboratory, and clinical training to provide you with a valuable and well-rounded education.

If you have a high school diploma or a GED, simply complete the Program Application. Your application will be reviewed by the Department Chair for acceptance into the program.
