Introduction to yoga including traditional yoga postures emphasizing flexibility, breathing and relaxation techniques as well as careful attention to alignment in classical yoga poses. Students will address current skills, knowledge and/or new technology pertinent to the Jewelry industry in areas of special interest with the approval of the instructor. The emphasis will be on advanced techniques and methods of jewelry making and surface embellishment that will further the student's knowledge of jewelry design and creation. Prerequisite: JLRY-1001. Combined with credit JLRY-1490.
Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

This course will introduce students to various forms of artificial intelligence (AI) and how we interact with AI as consumers in applications like chatbots and recommendation engines. Students will see how AI provides analytics in business and consider industries that may be transformed or even disrupted by AI implementations. Includes review of neural networks, machine learning, AI applications such as natural language processing, forecasting, and robotics as well as the AI development process and some of the ethical factors in AI deployment.
An examination of major theories of various treatment modalities. Topics include reality therapy, psychodynamics, grief therapy, person-centered therapy, rational emotive therapy, and cognitive behavioral approaches. (R) Integrated with college credit PSYT 2339. (LCDC, SW)
Blockchain Fundamentals

This course provides a foundation in a practical knowledge of blockchain. Beginning with an understanding of blockchain technology and its intended purpose, the course progresses into blockchain architecture. You will review the enterprise implementation and practical use of blockchain, such as in banking, healthcare and government applications. Throughout the course, you will also learn how blockchain evolved from its beginnings with cryptocurrencies and the role it plays in the trading, distribution, and other transactions that occur with cryptocurrency.
