Volleyball

An introductory course to the fundamentals of volleyball including passing, serving, setting, and spiking. Students will learn rules and court strategy for playing the game. Software Development Bootcamp Prep Course

Course Description
Interested in making a career change to Software Development The Austin Community College Software Development Bootcamp and is an excellent choice for building skills in the high demand areas of software development. The ACC bootcamp covers Full stack Javascript Software, Git, and many more technologies.
In order to get prepared for the Bootcamp, ACC is offering a Bootcamp Prep Course. In this prep course, you will work on essential computer and math skills. This 2 week long course will help navigate the rigor of the Bootcamp.
Bootcamp Prep Course includes:
-Familiarity with web technologies: HTML
-Simple programming concepts using online gaming environments like MIT Scratch
-Use of computer tools including: Linux Command Line, Git/Github, Visual Studio Code
-Familiarity with your computer's operating system, including Windows 10, Windows Subsystem Linux and Mac OSX
-Refresh of basic math and logic skills
Legal and Ethical Aspects of Health Information

Course Description
Concepts of confidentiality, ethics, healthcare legislation, and regulations relating to the maintenance and use of health information. This class is suitable for all health care majors.
Writing 1
Program Area: Lifelong Learning
Course Description
In this course, students will learn to use standard English grammar in writing paragraphs and compositions. Students work on developing effective simple and compound sentences and using them in their writing. Students are exposed to the modes of argument, process, comparison contrast and classification. This is the first course in a series designed to prepare ESOL student to handle the writing tasks they will encounter in college-credit level courses and the workplace. Integrated with credit ESOL-0371. To register for Writing 1 (COMX 4071) you must also be co-enrolled in Grammar 1 (COMX 4095) this semester or have a passing grade of C or higher in Grammar 1 (COMX 4095) or placement into Grammar 2 (COMX 4097) or higher on the ESOL assessment test.
Beginning Modern Dance

Multimedia for Technical Communications Management
Course Description
Learn to create audio-visual tutorials for technical products employing the principles of instructional design, user experience, and usability as a foundation to learn and employ audio-video applications like TechSmith, Camtasia and Adobe Captivate. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times if content varies. Integrated with credit ETWR-2470. Qualifies for student health insurance.
