Introduction to MIG, TIG, and flux-cored welding processes. It is required that you complete WLDG-1000, or obtain instructor approval to take this course. Note: (CE) WLDG-1000 + (CE) WLDG-1043 = WLDG-1405 (4 Credits)
Note: Students are required to provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE) listed below.
- Safety Glasses (ANSI-approved with shatter-proof lenses and side shields)
- Reusable Earplugs (rubber or disposable sponge plugs)
- Flame Resistant Shirt/Welding Jacket (NFPA2112)
- Cotton Pants (must not have cuffs)
- Boots (high-top shoes are also acceptable, but fabric shoes are not permitted)
- Leather Gloves (gauntlet style to protect from embers and arc burns
- Welder's Cap (cloth cap with downward bill to protect from sparks)
