Internship- Massage Therapy/Therapeutic Massage

Course Description
Enables students to synthesize knowledge, apply skills in a clinical setting, and develop experience managing workflow. In this capstone course, students integrate skills, knowledge and abilities acquired in all massage technique courses as they perform massage at an on campus practicum site. Students will be under the direct supervision is provided by a licensed massage therapy instructor on the staff at Austin Community College Locations. Meets the minimum 50-contact-hour requirement for licensure for Massage. Text for this class is the Student Internship Handbook provided in class. Online HIPAA required. Course Description
Instruction in the techniques used to analyze the fashion image of individual clients. Emphasis on personal coloring, seasonal color harmonies, appropriate fabric textures, body proportion and silhouette, figure, facial and hair analysis, and wardrobe coordination. Audition Monologue Workout

Course Description
Auditioning is an essential (and occasionally dreaded) skill that each actor must master. In this class, we will find the FUN in entering a casting room, reframing auditioning into an opportunity to do the thing we love. This class will increase confidence and hone dynamic monologue techniques for stage auditions. Recorded auditions for theatre will be covered briefly. (To focus on film & TV, register for Self-Taping Your Auditions). Skills covered include character study, choosing clear and high-stakes objectives, entrances/exits, and who to be fully present in the room. Register early! Once the class makes students will receive guidance on finding monologues. Students will bring a 1-minute to 90-second monologue of their choice to the first meeting.
Sewing Fundamentals I

Course Description
Sewing fundamental emphasizes the development of basic sewing skills used to create apparel. This course focuses on pattern and fabric selection, basic construction techniques, pressing skills, timesaving technologies and techniques. Learn how to use the sewing machine. Small projects will be discussed in class. Note: for the in person class, a sewing machine will be available for use in class.
Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgical Assistance
