Online Course meets the specification of the Texas Board of Nursing (BON) for Didactic Content of a nurse refresher course. Designed for (1)
the nurse who is applying to the BON for reinstatement of licensure or (2) the currently licensed nurse who has been away from the clinical
setting for a period of 4 years or more, or (3) the nurse who is licensed in another state and applying for Texas licensure. Nurses are referred to
the BON for complete information concerning licensure. Content of the online course covers review of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, BON Rules
and position statements, scope of practice, patient safety, the nursing process, pharmacology review, medication administration, documentation,
quality assurance and legal implications for nursing practice. The course is scheduled over the entire semester with weekly assignments. There
are no prerequisites for the online course. Nurses seeking to reinstate their license are required by the BON to complete . 80 hours of Clinical
Practice under the supervision of a Qualified Nurse.

Acquire a solid foundation in fundamental concepts and master crucial techniques essential for the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and Project Management Institute (PMI) certifications. This virtual Insturctor-led course provides novice business analysts or those wanting to enter the profession with an understanding of the foundation concepts and essential business analysis techniques. To ensure that everyone has a common understanding of how projects are performed, there is also a focus on critical concepts of projects and project management. Through class discussions and homework, participants learn how an organization identifies the need for changes and selects solution approaches. With exercises and discussion, they learn how requirements are elicited and analyzed, practicing some of business analysts' most common techniques. They get experience with interviews, workshops, process modeling, writing use cases and user stories, building functional requirements, and performing structured walkthroughs. Participants read and discuss the IIBA BABOK Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge and the PMI Guide to Business Analysis as the foundation of the course.

It combines the content of the VMware vSphere 6: Install, Configure, Manage course with advanced tasks and skills for configuring a highly available and scalable virtual infrastructure. Upon completing this course, students can take the examinations to qualify as a VMware Certified Professional. VMware Certifications allow IT professionals to demonstrate VMware software technical expertise to employers and customers, validate their IT skills and experience in virtual infrastructure, gain an edge in the IT job market and improve earning potential. Suggested prerequisite: System administration experience on Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems. Experience with networks and/or storage networks a plus.

This on-campus Saturday format course is an exam prep experience for the PMBOK Guide knowledge base to help students pass the most recent PMP and CAPM exams. The course focuses on the fundamental concepts from an exam perspective that are tested on both exams. Students should see PMI.org for the PMP and CAPM examination requirements. This course is only examination preparation that assumes you have sufficient project management background and/or foundational coursework to learn about the spectrum of Project Management tools, techniques, models, and methods, such as BMGT 1021 Introduction to Managing Projects and/or intermediate-level BMGT 1009 Applied Project Management course offerings.
