Wonders of Watercolors

Course Description
Learn to create frame-worthy watercolor artworks through a step-by-step process rooted in art fundamentals. Develop skills in proportion, color theory, brush techniques, perspective, and composition while exploring styles like realism, impressionism, and abstract. Most class sessions students will produce a finished piece, building a personal collection that showcases your artistic growth.
Beginning Modern Dance

Introduction to nutrients and the role of good food in growth and development, as well as, in the maintenance of health. Students will begin to learn the difference between food that makes you feel better and food that can make you feel worse, how to choose better options, and what to look for when looking at food labels.

Introduction to Blacksmithing

Course Description
This course will be a basic introduction to hand forging steel articles. Students will learn how to make various projects using blacksmithing techniques to shape the hot metal. Student will learn how to select the appropriate tools for the forging and how each tool works. We will also be using shop tools to cut the steel to length in preparation for forging.
Veterinary Anesthesia and Surgical Assistance

Course Description
In-depth application of surgical, obstetrical, and anesthesia techniques including identification and use of instruments and equipment. Prerequisites: VTHT 1001-Introduction to Veterinary Technology, VTHT 1013-Veterinary Anatomy and Physiology, VTHT 1009-Veterinary Nutrition, VTHT 1049-Veterinary Pharmacology, or instructor approval.
Course Description
Negotiating transactions. Includes preparation for negotiation, styles of negotiating, strategies for adversarial negotiations, and negotiation etiquette. Learn the strategies and tactics needed to influence others and reach long-lasting, profitable agreements. This interactive course teaches successful negotiation skills through role play and case studies from real life, giving the knowledge and experience to handle difficult conversations and communicate with people from different cultures.
