This course will examine and apply the landscape design process. Topics will include design principles and elements, site inventory and analysis, design programming, client relationship, conceptual design, form study, master plan and planting plans. Recommended prerequisite: HALT 1072 Introduction to Landscape Graphics.
Introduces Portuguese through rhythm of the language by exploring vocabulary and phonemic (sound) awareness. Students are invited to learn about some aspects of Brazilian culture, for instance, music, fashion, culinary and dance. Participants will be engaged in activities, such as skits and playing games that help develop basic conversation skills.

This course will teach you advanced techniques in this powerful database program, including importing Excel spreadsheets as tables, creating query calculations to crunch numbers, and using Visual Basic to automate common tasks. From building reports to using conditional formatting, this course will teach you how to best present your data with Access 2019. Software requirements: PC: Windows 10 or later operating systems. Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are preferred. Microsoft Edge is also compatible. Microsoft Access 2019, or a subscription to Office 365. Suggested prerequisite: A basic understanding of Microsoft Access objects and their use or completion of Access Introduction.

CompTIA Security+ Exam SY0-701 provides a basic overview of General Security Concepts, Security Architecture, Security Operations, Security Program Management & Oversight, and Threats, Vulnerabilities & Mitigations. The course builds a firm foundation for more advanced security certifications/roles. Course material is targeted toward an Information Technology (IT) professional who has networking and administrative skills in TCP/IP networks and familiarity with a networkable operating system (such as NetWare, UNIX/Linux, or Microsoft). This course enables students to begin or further a career in Cybersecurity by acquiring a foundational knowledge of security topics; prepare for the CompTIA Security+ Certification examination; or use Security+ as the foundation for advanced security certifications or career roles. There is a primary textbook which will be required. Suggested prerequisites: one to three years IT experience, CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications, or equivalent knowledge. This is an ONLINE course requiring a stable internet connection, and a current web browser. Audio is provided via computer or telephone line (a dial-in phone number will be available as an alternate audio connection). A computer web-camera option is preferred but not required. This course prepares the teacher candidate to identify and use resources available for planning, and designing interactive TEKS-based lessons with an emphasis on specific content methodology. In addition, the course addresses assessment of the child’s learning and communicating of the child’s progress to parents. Each candidate will plan and teach three micro teaches which will be critiqued.
