Advanced Acting for Teens

Course Code: DRAX-3053

Course Description

This class is for teen actors (both film & stage, as well as musical theatre performers) who want to dive deeper into scene study with focus on authenticity in the moment, connection with scene partners, and creating more realistic characters while expanding stage presence. Students will explore this through extended scene study, incorporating techniques from Meisner and exercises from improvisation. Classes will have the option to work auditioning/monologues and classical work. Please bring a snack that does not require refrigeration. Ages 13-17. This class is for students with previous training (instructor approval required) and may be repeated for ongoing study. Students will always receive new scripts.
